Calgary garage floor coating
Your garage should look like the rest of your house.
Finish the floor and the garage becomes another finished room you actually use. A golf sim, a gym, a workshop, a studio, a place for the car you care about, or just a garage you like walking into. Built for Calgary winters. Wipe it with a mop.

Be honest
When's the last time you actually looked at your garage floor?
Not glanced at it. Looked at it. The salt stains. The cracks running through the concrete. The dust that never leaves. The spot by the door where everything tracks in. Most Calgary garage floors take that abuse for years before anyone does anything about it, and every winter takes a little more of the slab.
The offer
Not an epoxy floor. A room you didn't know you had.
Here is everything that comes with a Vanta floor.
A finished room.
Seamless, in the colour you choose, sealed edge to edge. The garage stops being storage and becomes whatever you want it to be.
Real prep.
The slab is diamond ground, not acid etched. Cracks and defects are routed, filled and ground flush. Moisture is tested before anything goes down. This is the part that decides whether the floor lasts, and it is why we are not done in a day.
Four layers, built for the climate.
An epoxy primer that bonds to the concrete, a tinted epoxy base coat with a full flake broadcast, and a polyaspartic clear topcoat that takes hot tires, road salt, de-icing chemicals, oil and sun without yellowing.
A warranty in writing.
5 years on every floor, included. Extend it to 8, 10 or 15 years when you approve your quote.
A design visit at your house within 48 hours of booking, and one quote by email after it, with your warranty options.
Help with the clear-out.
You move your things. If you'd rather not find a home for all of it, we arrange a storage container in your driveway at cost.
A final walkthrough before we leave.
Anything you see, we fix.
The system
The floor is only as good as the work underneath it.
Diamond grind.
The whole slab, stem walls included. Opens the concrete so the primer can bite. No acid etching.
Repair.
Cracks routed and filled, pits and spalls patched, everything ground flush.
Moisture test.
We read the slab before we seal it. If it is too wet or too fresh, we tell you to wait.
Epoxy primer.
Soaks into the open concrete and locks the system to the slab.
Tinted base coat and full flake.
A high-build epoxy base coat, pigmented to your blend, with flake broadcast until you cannot see the base. Scraped and vacuumed flat.
Polyaspartic topcoat.
The clear wear layer. UV stable, non-yellowing, applied thick enough to lock the flake in and leave a smooth, easy-to-clean surface.
Two to four days on site for a two or three car garage, depending on prep and scheduling. Each layer goes on inside the recoat window of the one below it, so the floor bonds as one piece. Walk on it the next day. Park on it after a week.
A week without your garage. Up to 15 years of protection.
That is the trade. One-day installs skip the prep or rush the cure, and that is the floor you see peeling three winters later. We would rather lose the job than do it in a way we'd have to come back and fix.
Colours
Pick your colour.
Nine standard blends at the base price. They look right in a garage and hide dust, salt and tire marks between cleanings. Other blends are available on request.

Our work.

"Had Alex come by and quote my garage. He explained his process on the surface prep requires an extra day to prep vs other companies that complete the job in a day. Compared a few quotes that were cheaper but done in a day. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and I am very pleased with the final product."
Who's behind it
I grew up on concrete.
I'm Alex. I grew up in my family's concrete business, then spent seven years on project and maintenance work in the oil sands and a couple more in marketing. I started Vanta because I knew this trade, I had the resources, and I knew what people actually want from a garage. Not a coating. A space. I've always needed a creative outlet, and this is it. Taking a dusty, greasy garage and turning it into a clean, good-looking room that changes how you use it is the part I love. It's also why I won't do it fast and cheap. If it has my name on it, it gets done properly.

The slab does not wait.
Salt and freeze-thaw keep working on bare concrete every winter. The longer a floor sits, the more grinding and repair it needs before it can be coated, and the price moves with it. Prep and coats need the right temperature, so the calendar has a season. When it fills, the next dates open as jobs finish.

Questions before you book
How long until I can use my garage again?
Walk on it the day after the topcoat goes on. Park on it after a week. A week without the garage is the trade for a floor that is built to last.
Do I have to empty the garage myself?
Yes. Everything comes out before we arrive and goes back in after the floor cures. We don't move belongings, for liability reasons, and the floor has to be clear wall to wall. If you'd rather not find a place for everything, we arrange a storage container in your driveway at cost.
What does the coating protect against?
Road salt, de-icing chemicals, snow melt and freeze-thaw. Hot tires, which lift cheaper coatings off the slab. Oil and abrasion. Sun, without yellowing.
How long will it last?
Every floor comes with a 5-year warranty, and you can extend it to 8, 10 or 15 years. The reason we can offer that is the prep. Floors fail at the bond, not the surface. That's where our time goes.
Why do you take two to four days when others do it in one?
Day one is prep: grinding, repair, a moisture test, and the primer. Then the base coat and flake, then the topcoat, each inside the recoat window of the layer below. One-day installs skip or rush those steps, and that's the floor you see peeling three winters later.
Will it be slippery?
Any smooth floor is slick when it's wet. The flake gives the surface texture, and if you want more grip we add an anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat. Tell us how you'll use the space and we'll match the texture to it.
What does it cost?
It depends on the square footage and the condition of the concrete. Cracks, pitting, old coatings and moisture all add prep. That's why we come and look rather than quoting off a photo. The visit is free and you'll leave it knowing your options.
